Dairy ERP

India is one of the largest producer of milk. Indian dairy industry faces a multitude of challenges and opportunities in procurement of raw milk and processing it into products such as consumer milk, butter, cheese, yoghurt, condensed milk, dried milk (milk powder), ice cream etc., using varied processes such as chilling, pasteurization, and homogenization et all. There is a clear demand supply gap in the domestic milk scenario.
There is also the compulsion to provide the lower prices to retailers because of their increasing negotiating power that has created margin pressures. The industry is struggling with the production planning and processing due to the variations in quantity and quality of the non-standardized and perishable raw material. Recent developments in production technologies can meet the demand for foods with lower carbohydrates or for products with an extended shelf life but, the main concern is to have efficient product innovation processes to provide the advantages associated with speed to market.

The focus of Dairies on increasing efficiencies, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with food regulations over the whole supply chain are hampered by a number of non integrated processes and system which is affecting the effeciency as well as overall growth of the organization. To overcome these road blocks there is a need to standardize all the scattered processes and information on a single platform.
Milk Procurement is a complex process that needs to be executed swiftly on a continuous basis. Xpert ERP helps you to organize the procurement process.

System captures collection of farmer milk at Village level (Village level Collection center – VLC) with the help of AMCU (automatic milk collection unit) that comprises of (EWS) Electronic weighing scale, DPU (Data processing unit) and Milk analyzer. The milk is weighed by EWS and FAT & SNF is tested by milk analyzer and recorded in the DPU. The DPU has in built price chart and the total milk payment is calculated, recorded and a payment slip is printed with the help of DPU. This farmer payment data can be fetched directly from DPU and saved in centralized server, if the DPU is GPRS enabled. The same process is applicable at all VLC’s across the system. All these are taken care in Dairy ERP. Now, this collected milk is transferred to the MCC (Milk Chilling center) with the help of transporter vehicle. A mobile application is available for the transporter and VSP to input the time of milk dispatch from one VLC to another. It is just to make sure that we have all the relevant data required for the analysis purpose. Read More… On click of read more show below content of Dairy mentioned in brown As the milk is collected into two shifts i.e. morning and evening, there option to open the shift at MCC level first. On the milk reception at MCC, the milk is weighed with the help of EWS and sample is taken out for the testing of milk characteristics. The system is integrated with EWS and the weight is captured directly from the EWS into the system. The sample is tested by chemist with the help of Milk analyzer which is again integrated with our system so that the parameters like FAT, SNF, Density, Added Water Content etc can be captured directly without manual interventions. In case of some exceptions like problem is analyzer, issue in connectivity of analyzer with system etc the milk parameters can be captured manually also but with approval from head office through system only. In this case, we can have reports like which and how many samples are tested manually and automatically at MCC level.
The system support both type of milk price charts like Single Axis and Double Axis. These charts are again mapped at MCC/Route/VSP level and once the sample is tested for FAT / SNF and recorded in the system, the payment to be made to VSP will be calculated and recorded in the system. Once all the vehicles has arrived at MCC and collection along with testing is completed, the pen drive data needs to be imported into the system and entry of truck sheet will be made. The MCC in charge will close the shift after this and no modifications are allowed in the shift. At the closing of shift, the user has to enter the opening and closing KM reading of vehicles to calculate the actual KM travelled by the vehicle. But in case of GPS integration, the KM travelled can be captured directly from the vehicle itself. Apart from collecting Milk from farmers/VSP/Societies, we also sell kettle feeds, vet nary medicines and issue our assets to these farmers/VSP/Societies. The system has the provision to address all these and at the time payment process, the net payment for farmers/VSP/Societies for milk collected and the items sold during that payment cycle can be made. The collected milk at MCC will now be dispatched from the chilling center to the processing plants with the dispatch challan and the receiving at the plants will be done against this challan. The system is integrated with accounts and finance, so all the financial entries like purchase voucher, sale voucher gets generated through milk procurement module only and there is no need to enter at any other level. Apart from these, the Auto SMS to farmer/producer/MCC Incharge/Management can also be configured within this system.
